The waters of Alaska’a Southeast region are home to some of the most fertile and renowned fishing grounds on the planet. All 5 species of salmon, halibut, ling cod, black bass, 3 species of trout and even Arctic Grayling are some of the species you’ll find here. You’ll also have a chance to drop crab and shrimp pots, if you are so inclined.
What you need to Know
Basic fishing gear (poles/bait) are aboard for passengers’ use. While our ships are not fishing boats, per se, they do afford the opportunity to fish right from the deck. Depending on the type of fish you are angling for and the season in which you’ll be cruising, halibut, ling cod and black bass are relatively common catches right from the comfort of the deck.
We are capable of coordinating with private fishing guides for serious anglers or those wishing to embark on separate fresh water excursions.
