All the fun had to finally come to an end today sadly!
We deployed our last to R2D2 units as they’ve now been dubbed this morning. Went fossil hunting yesterday while the units downloaded all day. Found some great pieces and a section of rock that was brimming over with clams which had been fossilized in some manner before they decomposed. The necks were still sticking out of the shells! Too neat! Just no way to bring back the huge stones, though there were discussions regarding trying.
Should be in Homer by late this evening. There is a small craft advisory in one area we have to pass though…hoping we miss the winds and seas! Would like a nice quiet cruise home today!
Enjoy your Easter weekend! I’m hoping to get home for the weekend before returning to Homer. Sounds like there will be little or no time off from now till December…may need to rethink this retirement thing!
