What a day. Blue bird skies, light breeze and a meadow dotted with grazing bears!
We counted 16 at one time all around us. The whole crew and 9 scientist went ashore together to do some incredible bear viewing. At times we were as close as 50 yards.
Bears didn’t seem to care one bit. This meadow is a grazing pasture for them, as they act like lawn mowers moving across the landscape.
Hallo Bay has a reputation for a high concentration of bears and it certainly lived up to it’s reputation!
Going to have to bring the grandkids back here for this experience and the sooner the better!
Take care,
Rob & Star
